Georgetown Readiness Center Window Replacement

Franklin D Roosevelt’s Works Progress Administration was a new deal program aimed at economic recovery during the Great Depression. Under that program, that Georgetown Armory Readiness Center was built in the 1930s to service the community in Sussex County. Originally built to house National Guard units, the armory played a vital role in local military readiness and civil defense throughout the mid-20th century, particularly during World War II.

As a lasting example of civic architecture from that era, Bathon Builders was tasked to provide contemporary improvements to the structure. This project encompassed the full replacement of 36 exterior windows with new, energy-efficient aluminum models, offering improved performance and longevity. Interior trim elements were removed, professionally refinished, and reinstalled, maintaining the interior’s original detailing while delivering a clean, updated finish.
